From Oregon Health Authority: “Between widely available vaccines and boosters, effective antiviral treatments, and ongoing research, we are better equipped than ever to prevent severe cases of COVID-19. Even with this progress, the transmission of the virus remains high. If you test positive and are at high risk for severe COVID-19 illness, treatments are available that can reduce your chances of being hospitalized, if taken within five days of your first symptom.

You can help prepare yourself and your family by making a plan for yourself in the event you test positive for COVID-19. This includes making a checklist of supplies to keep on hand, identifying where you can quickly get antiviral treatments, writing down emergency contacts, and more. Making a plan is especially important if COVID-19 puts you at risk of severe illness due to underlying health conditions, age, or other factors. Our story includes a two-page, printable “My COVID-19 Plan” form to fill out and keep handy.”
