A 2021 survey of American adults revealed that over one-third did not know what antisemitism is, and one out of six said they had never heard of the word. This at a time when we are seeing an alarming rise in antisemitic incidents and hate crimes in the U.S. Education about antisemitism is therefore essential.

Learn more about this topic by attending The Mainstreaming of Antisemitism in America workshop presented by Bob Horenstein, with the Jewish Federation of Greater Portland.

This workshop will explore what antisemitism is (and what it is not), how it has evolved over time, and how it is being normalized in America.

The workshop will be Thursday, May 4, at 6:30 pm in the Activity Center Lewis & Clark Room. Doors open at 6 p.m. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.

This is one of five free diversity lectures and is funded by a Community Opportunity Grant from Wilsonville Parks & Recreation. To learn more, go to www.ci.wilsonville.or.us/bc-diversity.
